What Homies is (right now)

Homies is a community pilot of a platform for new immigrants (olim) and locals in Israel, open to anyone who signs in with a Google account. The member community is real users only, and legacy invented demo users, services, events and ratings have been removed for the production pilot. Services and meetups may still be new or unverified, so check details directly before relying on them.

Who can use it

Not official advice

Checklists and guidance link to official sources (government sites, Nefesh B'Nefesh) but Homies itself is not a government service, and nothing in it is legal, financial, medical or immigration advice. Requirements change — always verify with the official body.

Community & messaging rules

Meeting people safely

Homies can connect you with other members and to in-person meetups. Always meet in a public place, and never share sensitive personal details such as your home address or bank/ID information. You are meeting other members at your own discretion and risk; Homies does not vet members and is not responsible for interactions between them.

Businesses & listings

Businesses may apply to be listed and some listings are marked "Sponsored". A listing is not an endorsement; contact details are provided by the business and are not verified by us.

Intellectual property

The Homies product, brand and curated content belong to the project's operators. What you write remains yours; by posting or sending it you allow us to store and display it within Homies to operate the service.

No warranty; limitation of liability

Homies is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, during this pilot. We may change, pause or discontinue features at any time. To the extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for content posted by members or for interactions between members.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel.
